Hi, I'm Vic, and welcome to my channel. I will be uploading videos on “How To” do things with devices I use for editing, streaming, and gaming. I do thank everyone for the support, donations/tips, likes, follows, and shares.

(June 2024) Kingdom Hearts 3 Ultrawide Mod Steam Version
I've been daily testing out since the release of the Steam versions all, and any mods for the Kingdom Hearts Series. Kingdom Hearts 3 in Ultrawide Steam version is working with this guide for Hex Editing.
The UI, and map are a little stretched, but the game play is great, and I'm playing on a 3840x1080 pixel count in a 32:9 aspect ratio.

World of Final Fantasy in Ultrawide

This is a mod that you have to have the game in Ultrawide on Windows. "Installation process: Extract the contents of the release zip in to the the game folder.(e.g. "steamapps\common\World of Final Fantasy" for Steam)." This is a mod that you have to change in a HEX Edit in order to play ultrawide. My monitor is a 32:9 so I'll be replacing these Hex values 39 8E E3 3F with using 39 8E 63 40 as my edit. I hope this helps you for those on a PC. I am using the Steam version. i tried this with apps like twitter and netflix and it didn’t work :(( any tips ?
I can test those out, but possibly a url launcher might suffice for those be the app since they are web based.

Thats unfortunate. I’d say uninstall, redownload the game, and do things 1 step at a time.

Does anyone know how the elgato stream deck works with already opened games? For example if I have a game open and use the deck to open Spotify, will Spotify open a window above the game etc
In my experience, no. Then again, you can always navigate profiles to get back to any key setups in game. I’m guess you’ll probably do mouse/keyboard/controller so maybe tabbing to the game may still be ideal.

Hm… maybe there might be more to come if the Steam Community Discussions have more info on the hex edits.
Nice good job! I have modified the hex file slightly, but the fov realllllly is too close for me when I played
Nice work! Yeah, I'm hoping for a LUA version of the mod, in case an update comes through like it did for the other 2 games. If they ever patch it, you'll have to pray and hope they didn't change the code. Updates break the edit. :( That means having to redo it.
@@MeetVic After some digging through the hex file I found the FOV edit! If you search for "35 FA 0E 3C" from the top, search forward 3 times until you get to the last "35 FA 0E 3C" in the file, then change it to "EF F4 38 3C" for 32:9 or "35 FA 38 3C" for 21:9 and boom it worked for me. Hope that works for you
gonna try this MEOW!!! it works, but looks a little stretched. Also, oddly mine only had the line once. 👀 I maybe have to try a fresh start!
So there are 5 lines total I found. Last 2 will work, but stretching is definitely a thing. I wish I could post screen shots, but only the last 2 could be changed. 1-3 of them caused glitching. I did the search under all to find this.

Wallpaper engine is also a very sick adoptation to live desktop backgrounds, Its on steam. you can also put a simple small game or drawing tools as a background or music visualizer. You can also adress the amount of background processing it does in settings.
Yes, I have this app, but I was looking for something that wasn’t too hungry on the cpu usage.

That’s the best, if not you’ll bog down the cpu more. It’s a cool app but this was for something simple. Glad you have an alternative for this!

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the mod! I love anything I can find for Ultrawide. Currently found a total of 60 games native and mods included. I’m hoping to stumble on more, but this makes me happy seeing people using the mods, and how many have Ultrawide.

Oh you mean in the stream deck app? That’s the Hwinfo plugin along with the app running in the background so I can check usage and temps always. This helps me decide if I need to changed a display/graphic spec for a game. Usually I don’t have too.

Nadia? Idk who that is, but the Pedal is great for quick actions like mute/unmute, clips from my stream and editing.
@@MeetVicI think he is talking abaut Wemod bc you have a button on a steamdeck for it, but i has it too bc it good for story games.
I only use this offline when I play RPG’s for any replay value if I want to breeze through it. That’s the only reason I’ve use it, I haven’t used it in months if I’m honest.

Microsoft changed some things around. I think I’ll have to check it again.
Except it looks like crap and stretched out on your screen. For some reason Flawless Widescreen hasn't updated this in over 2 years.
Maybe there might be another mod. I’m always looking, but for now Flawless is the only one I found. It’s not too bad on the stretch though.
Love this feature! For the people who say that it doesn't work, it's probably because of not having clicked on Discord before you press the Stream Deck button. If you have a different app/window focused on, it'll not work. Sucks that it down work without touching Discord at all.
Maybe a dev can make it for a background thing, but this is the only method that I’ve been using for a while now.

It depends on your monitor. Mine is 3840x1080. So it’s perfect for me.
The only problem I’m running into is when I go to the 4k capture utility and switch to analog audio and put the input EDID mode to internal my game won’t show up when I go to set up my video capture in OBS. Any Idea why it’s doing this? Also this video has been the most helpful to me so far thank you 🙏🏼

Yea in order for me to stream without the letterboxxing. I had to set the input/output to 1080p on OBS. I was still able to play my game in full window and enjoy the game in 4k or whatever

@@MeetVic That’s super cool. How do you like it? But yea, I looked everywhere on how to get rid of the letterboxing on the widescreen monitors. One day it just worked. Currently using the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45’ monitors. It took me so long to figure out to get rid of the black bars on stream .. lol. yea, that ultra wide monitor you have is crazy long 📺 🦒
I love it, honestly when others have an ultrawide 32:9 they can see the full video if they have a plugin for ultrawide videos. If not then they get the letterboxing too. I guess it’s some talking points I can mention soon.
@@MeetVic Yea true, they do have an ultra wide plug in on Google chrome. When I was watching movies on Netflix with it, just seemed stretched too me. It didn’t give its natural look, but sometimes If play i my console games with the elgato. I get the black bars on the side other than the top and bottom. I’m use too it, so it’s all good. Yea, that monitor is crazy 🔥🔥🔥

so, there was no fix for the "LB" icon on the top left?
Not that I’m aware of. Most Ultrawide mods usually have the UI in the same place.
@@MeetVic yeah, that’s a bummer. In 21:9, the icon sits on top of the location label, so sometimes it’s difficult to read which region of the map you’re in.
I totally understand. I just rest the mods make sure they work, purely for gaming satisfaction. However you could always reach out to the modded and see if they can update.

So set it up as per your video, changing the volumes for the stream side or headphones on wavelength doesn't seem to change the volume in OBS mixer. For music for example I did set spotify to Wave Link Music in windows volume mixer, selected that as a source in OBS. Muted both stream and headphones in wavelink and it still plays in OBS mixer and no volume to headset. Wondering what I did wrong?
OBS plugin controls the obs audio, wave link can't control obs, and obs can't control wave link. it's a setup on how to separate the audio in obs.

isn't microphoneFX what you would use in-game or on discord? Like you use the regular Mic In for voicemod, and then you choose MicrophoneFX for the voicechat, so it carries over the voice changer?
No, my default mic in voicemod’s app is MicFX. Then I use Voicemod mic as my primary for everything else.
@@MeetVic oh i’m guessing MicFX is just used to carry over stuff like EQ edits and whatnot? I just joined the whole dedicated mic / streaming / elgato software ordeal so i’m learning 😅
JNTracks can also help, but yes ideally this why I use MicFx.

couple of different methods i've found while researching- 1. search for program in windows start menu - right click and show file location - drag and drop shortcut in to streamdeck software 2. for apps that don't like method 1 or the method you use, if it is pinned to taskbar - use hotkey with the key combination Win (windows button) and the number representing the location on your task bar (i.e if your app is the 6th icon representing an app, then win + 6) I've got a combination of all three methods on my streamdeck + and it now has all the apps I use regularly

1 is for chatlink pro, and one is without. I do it for each card.

I've not heard about it through xbox game bar, but I can try to see if it's possible.

I get the 120hz pass through but it won’t show up on my “4k Capture Utility” so I can’t stream it Edit: I play apex on performance mode (120hz) I can capture everything else I do on my ps5 (60hz) untill I open apex (120hz) then Elgato says no signal
Check the game graphics, and the video settings. Both places should be matching.
